 Independent and objective restaurant evaluation is a purely Czech project of the publishing house TopLife Czech. Since 2014, the publishing house has been publishing the evaluation results in the yearbook Best Restaurants and annually awards approximately one hundred domestic experience restaurants. Inspectors anonymously taste dishes and test the quality of service in the best establishments in the Czech Republic. The result of repeated visits and evaluations is the Golden Lion award given by the publishing house. The entrance to the select club is one Golden Lion and the highest award is three Golden Lions.
The organizing publishing house subsidizes the entire project exclusively through the sale of the book guide, advertising and partnerships with major financial supporters. The most important are Bidfood and the car brand and manufacturer CUPRA. The printed yearbook is available at all good booksellers.
