Angusfarm

Jaroslav Viktora
The Angusfarm restaurant is located in the West Bohemian village of Soběsuky and grew up on the foundations of an original pub from the 19th century. The current owners, the Klaus couple, put their whole heart into its reconstruction. After a fire in March 2023, the business was able to breathe again and today it has a new face.
Angusfarm is dedicated to experiential gastronomy using always fresh ingredients from local suppliers. It focuses on dishes made from Aberdeen Angus beef, which is matured here in both wet and dry ways. However, those who prefer chicken and pork or original desserts will also find something for themselves. The menu is regularly changed according to the season, and guests can also order a tasting menu with wine pairing from a sommelier.
The overall atmosphere is complemented by a view into the kitchen, a covered terrace suitable for year-round dining, and a wine cellar where private tastings or corporate events can be held. Those who fall for the charm of Angusfarm can stay in a guest house with barrier-free access and fourteen rooms, including a wedding suite. The garden with a pond and gazebo is a popular place for wedding ceremonies, while the country barn is used for banquets and celebrations.
Chef Jaroslav Viktora is behind the Angusfarm kitchen. He was basically led to cooking by chance. In elementary school, he didn’t know what he wanted to do in the future. At the time, his best friend applied to be a chef and Jarda simply decided to go with him. After a difficult start, he found his way to cooking and it eventually became his passion. After completing his apprenticeship at the Hotel School in Pilsen, he gained experience in companies across the country. He has been in charge of the Angusfarm kitchen since 2019. His philosophy reflects above all respect – for the raw material, the season and the environment – and he never compromises.
