At first glance, the Dian restaurant may seem inconspicuous – hidden among office buildings on Brumlovka near Budějovická. Nevertheless, guests quickly find their way to it and appreciate not only the convenient parking right next door, but especially what happens inside. Dian is a place where good food meets a friendly atmosphere and authentic service.
The cuisine is based on Vietnamese foundations, but is not afraid of improvisation or fusion with other Asian influences. Dishes are served in the middle of the table so that guests can share them – because sharing is a joy, and that is key for Dian. The service is professional, but never cold. Guests return here not only for the food, but also for the experience they take away.
The atmosphere is underlined by an open kitchen, which adds energy and life to the space. The interior is decorated in wood and oriental details, complemented by fresh flowers. The wine and cocktail program is also a strong point - from proven names to natural producers and original signature drinks.
Behind the kitchen is chef Petr Brňák, whose journey to cooking began in childhood. His mother was a cook, so he has always been close to food. He first looked into the kitchen at a camp at the age of sixteen and has been fully dedicated to cooking since then. He gained experience in Italy, France and Germany - for example, in the Parisian restaurant Masa, awarded a Michelin star, or in the two-star Paloma. An important stage was also working on Formula 1 racing circuits within the Michelin restaurant Story, where he learned what precision and performance under pressure mean.
At Diana, he is inspired by authentic recipes, but also adds an element of playfulness and surprise, whether through connections with French cuisine or unexpected combinations of flavors. His motto is to let the quality of the ingredients shine through and create an experience that guests will never forget. “Come to Dian, taste and have fun,” he invites with a smile.
