Divinis

Miro Čornanin

The Divinis restaurant in the heart of the Old Town is part of Zdeněk Pohlreich's portfolio and has been a firm part of the Prague gastronomic scene for many years. It attracts guests with its honest cuisine, which is based on high-quality ingredients and gentle processes inspired by Italian tradition.
The interior, designed by Italian architect Luciano Belcapo, looks elegant and cozy at the same time. It offers several corners for quiet sitting and, in the summer, a garden where guests can enjoy the atmosphere of the historic center. An interesting feature is the open kitchen, thanks to which you can see the chefs' hands.
The team is headed by chef Miro Čornanin, who fell in love with Italian cuisine during his studies, when he completed an internship in northern Italy in the Lombardy region. Since 2005, he has been working in the United Kingdom, where he worked in London and its surroundings.
He moved to Prague in 2011 and strengthened the team of the Divinis restaurant, where he gradually worked his way up to chef, which he has been since last year. His creativity, attention to detail and sense of balance of flavors make him a chef that guests seek out. His cuisine is simple, yet thoughtful – it is based on seasonality, precise processing and respect for Italian tradition. The permanent menu also includes Pohlreich's classic recipes, which have become well-known among Czech gourmets. These include, for example, veal cheeks in Marsala with truffle butter or vitello tonnato.
The menu is complemented by a carefully compiled wine list with an emphasis on Italian wines. The combination of a friendly atmosphere, elegant surroundings and honest cuisine has repeatedly brought Divinis the prestigious Bib Gourmand award, making it one of the most sought-after restaurants in Prague.
