The Greek restaurant Filema in Prague's Košíře offers guests an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere and honest cuisine based on tradition and the joy of sharing. The name Filema (φίλεμα) in Greek means "entertainment" or "hospitality" and expresses the care and acceptance that are evident in every detail of this establishment.
The interior of the restaurant evokes a peaceful holiday in the Cyclades Islands - white walls, blue accessories and a friendly atmosphere are complemented by a spacious garden, especially popular in the summer months. There is also an indoor and outdoor bar with a selection of traditional ouzo and wines imported from various regions of Greece.
The kitchen is headed by chef Marianthi Malisiova, the owners' cousin, who was born in a small village in the mountains of Epirus. She was taught cooking by her mother and grandmother as a child, and later ran her own business in Athens for almost twenty years. He brings his experience and traditional recipes to Prague, which honor the original form, but at the same time adapts them to today's concept of gastronomy.
The menu includes a varied selection of meze, fresh salads, fish and seafood, and juicy grilled meats. Famous specialties include desserts, such as portokalopita with a refreshing taste of oranges, loukoumades drizzled with honey, classic baklava, or genuine Greek yogurt with honey. The ingredients come mainly directly from Greece - from olive oil to spices to wines. The owners even collect oregano themselves in the Greek mountains.
Filema is more than a restaurant - it is a place where guests feel welcome and where every meal brings a piece of Greece. Chef Marianthi Malisiova emphasizes that the basis is always fresh and high-quality ingredients, because they are what make the dishes a real experience.
