To ensure the perfect taste, George Prime Steak was the first in the Czech Republic to introduce the Montague Legend grill, which immediately seals the meat at 650 °C and preserves its natural juices. Today, chef Václav Šmída is behind the kitchen. He was led to cooking by his love of food as a child, which he inherited from family traditions, such as home-made slaughterhouses. He was most professionally influenced by Roman Vaňek's cooking school, where he met his mentors Václav Frič and David Izák. He also worked abroad for a short time, for example at Joël Robuchon's cooking school in Paris, and he also gained valuable experience under the guidance of top Czech chefs such as Daniel Klucký, Martin Hnilička and Míša Fáberová.
Václav Šmída builds on honest craftsmanship and teamwork. “Everyone should find their own taste in food, and our job is not to spoil it. Food should give joy – nothing more,” he says.
