La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise

La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise

Marco Christov

The restaurant is located in a historic building in the Old Town of Prague. The earthy interior with wood and leather contrasts with crystal chandeliers and an open modern kitchen. The restaurant offers a wall full of wines and a bustling, relaxed atmosphere.
The restaurant's kitchen is run by the experienced Oldřich Sahajdák in the role of chef patron. The head chef is also the co-owner of the establishment.
Here we will encounter original ingredients, methods and serving with clearly legible roots in Czech cuisine. Guests can taste an experiential five-course tasting menu at lunch and dinner. Meals can be paired with selected wines or soft drinks. Those who are more conservative and want to indulge in a wine of their own choice will certainly find their favorite on the wine list.
Oldřich Sahajdák explained the concept of the restaurant to us. The intention is to present traditional Czech cuisine in a way that no one else has done in Prague and no one else does. Every day they prepare new dishes and change the wine list, so guests can look forward to an unforgettable experience. He and his team strive to create a restaurant that will be exceptional and unique every day.
It is a dynamic process, because La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise is constantly developing and looking for new paths. But the goal remains the same in the long term: “Our ambition is for every guest to feel that they have experienced something exclusive. And I hope we are still succeeding in that,” reveals Oldřich, adding the five “bests” of his restaurant: “Open kitchen, unique space, perfect service, gastronomic experience, great team.”
One cannot help but agree with that. The restaurant relies on a perfect team of people and suppliers who provide it with great ingredients. And the guest feels it during their visit.
