La Piccola Perla, a “little pearl” in the heart of Prague, is located on Perlová Street, just a few steps from the bustling center. The name itself describes the restaurant’s ambition to be a jewel among Prague restaurants. Guests can find traditional Italian cuisine in its most honest form – from homemade pasta and soups to meat specialties and fresh fish to crispy pizza.
The Tuscan-style interior combines wood and brick and creates a cozy atmosphere that invites you to sit for a while. The restaurant is based on simplicity and honesty, on food that is eaten with joy. It is proud of its homemade pasta and signature dishes, which include fish soup Zuppa di Pesce, veal Scaloppina di Vitello alla Valdostana or fried seafood Frittura mista di pesce. The menu also includes seasonal dishes – light salads and gazpacho in summer, thicker soups and dishes with root vegetables in winter.
An integral part of the experience is the wine list, more than ninety percent of which are Italian wines. The offer is complemented by a selection of quality Czech wines and a rich collection of prosecco. The restaurant is popular not only for casual dining, but also for celebrations, corporate parties or private events, where a personal approach and friendly service are always taken into account.
Chef Ivan Reljič, who comes from the former Yugoslavia, is in charge of the kitchen. As a child, he discovered the magic of gastronomy alongside his grandmother, and the first pancakes he prepared at the age of seven started his journey to becoming a chef. He graduated from the gastronomic school in Belgrade with honors, but his greatest experience came from his work abroad - he worked in Spain, Germany, Russia and the Czech Republic. His career is also decorated with a curious moment: the first president he cooked for was the Czech one.
Ivan Reljič combines tradition with individuality and likes recipes that connect the flavors of northern and southern Italy. His philosophy is to cook with quality ingredients, with discipline and organization, but above all with love for the craft. As he himself says: "And then just follow your dreams..."
La Piccola Perla is a restaurant where the tradition of Mediterranean cuisine is combined with the chef's unique style. Guests will find not only honest Italian dishes, but also an atmosphere that turns an ordinary lunch or dinner into a pleasant experience that they will love to return to.
