MOLO Restaurant is located on the longest lake pier in Central Europe, built by the development company REALACTIVA according to the design of the architectural studio Chapman Taylor. In a short time, it has become a prominent part of the Czech gastronomic scene and is very popular with guests. At first glance, it impresses with its timeless interior from the Architectural Atelier Pizingers Morix workshop and a unique atmosphere with a view directly onto the surface of the “South Bohemian Sea”.
The restaurant offers multi-course tasting menus with wine and non-alcoholic pairings, based on refreshing kombuchas and signature cocktails. The cuisine combines elements of local and world traditions and emphasizes lightness and quality. Gastronomy lovers will appreciate fresh truffles, morels and other exclusive ingredients, as well as the fact that almost the entire range is gluten-free. The selected dishes are significant and remain on the menu for a long time, with only minor seasonal changes. Due to the popularity of the establishment, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance.
The Molo Lipno resort also includes Cafe du Lac, which will transport guests to the atmosphere of modern French pastry shops in the style of Saint Tropez or Paris. Original desserts and artisanal ice creams are created here.
The chef of MOLO Restaurant is David Šašek. His family's love of food led him to cooking, and his first independently prepared dish – a Hamburger leg in cream – directed him towards a field that became a lifelong passion for him. He gained experience with top world chefs, such as Robert Webster, Laurent Gras and Siegfried Vidovic, as well as in collaboration with Zdeněk Pohlreich. Since 2005, he has been the head chef of the luxury CODA restaurant in Prague's Aria hotel for sixteen years.
Since 2021, he has been working as a corporate chef in the Collection Hospitality group. In addition to MOLO Restaurant, his portfolio also includes MOLO Bar & Grill, MOLO Bistro, Cafe du Lac and the Bellevue hotels in Český Krumlov and Benešov. He is most excited about developing new concepts – for example, MOLO Bistro, opening in 2023, which focuses on a relaxed style and home cooking. “I believe that our projects will bring joy and inspiration to customers,” David Šašek sums up.
