Next Door by Imperial is a modern Czech bistro that perfectly combines tradition with current gastronomic trends. Guests will find lightning-fast service, honest cuisine and an atmosphere that is pleasant for everyone - from business meetings to family celebrations.
The restaurant was opened by Zdeněk Pohlreich in 2016 in a newly renovated historic house in the center of Prague, just a few steps from the famous Café Imperial. The elegant interior offers spaces for intimate and larger meetings, and for those looking for privacy, the Champagne lounge is available.
The kitchen is headed by chef Ondřej Jíňa, who worked his way up from the legendary Café Savoy to the Prague restaurant Divinis to the Swiss Tribeca. He brought to Next Door not only experience from prestigious establishments, but also his exceptional "taste memory". Like a musician with an ear, he can combine ingredients in such a way that the result surprises with originality and harmony of flavors.
Next Door offers a wide range of experiences throughout the day. In the morning, guests will be delighted with breakfast, which ranges from eggs Benedict with truffles to homemade pancakes to a varied selection of omelets. In addition to the à la carte menu, the lunch menu is based on daily specials focusing on seasonal products. In the afternoon, it entices with a rich selection of cakes and in the evening, an open kitchen experience where guests can watch the food being prepared. The menu focuses on Czech cuisine in a modern presentation. Traditional recipes such as duck, sirloin steak or veal cheeks are complemented by unconventional preparations of kidneys or tripe, as well as international classics in the form of club sandwiches and burgers. All served in a lighter, visually sophisticated and sophisticated form, which moves Czech cuisine closer to today's fine dining.
