Chef Jiří Eberl is behind the kitchen, who got into cooking a little unexpectedly - he started experimenting at home because he didn't like school meals. Gradually, the hobby became a passion and a professional path. His mother was a great inspiration for him, who taught him to love ingredients and showed him that good food is a way to please the people around him.
He gained his first great experience at the prestigious Grandhotel Pupp, where he learned discipline, teamwork and high standards. He also worked in Germany, where he got to know other culinary approaches and styles, which enriched him both professionally and personally. Today, he runs the kitchen of Sokolovna Průhonice with an emphasis on variety, freshness and quality. “It can’t be done without hard work,” he says of his culinary motto. According to him, hard work, patience and enthusiasm are the basis of every good result.
