U Sapíků

Petr Pastrňák

The restaurant at Sapíků in Klokočná near Prague has been a popular destination for all lovers of Czech gastronomy for more than two decades. The country estate, surrounded by picturesque countryside, is synonymous with honest cuisine that honors tradition and carries it into the present. The stylish interior, the cellar over two hundred years old and the cozy rooms of the guesthouse create an environment where every visit has its own story.
The basis of the offer is Czech cuisine in its classic form, enriched with a lighter and more modern concept. Seasonal menus – from Easter specialties to asparagus weeks to venison feasts – give the menu a rhythm of the year and guests a new experience every time.
The heart of the establishment is the legend of Czech gastronomy Jaroslav Sapík. He comes from a family of hospitality professionals and has honed his craft since his youth in the prestigious Ambassador Hotel and on trips abroad. To this day, he is an inspiration and mentor to the younger generation. “Our goal has always been for the guest to leave satisfied, full and happy to return,” says Jaroslav Sapík.
His work is continued by the current chef Petr Pastrňák. He fell in love with cooking as a child, studied gastronomy in Ostrava and gained experience in Czech restaurants and at Terasa U Zlaté studně under the leadership of Pavel Sapík. Today, he runs the kitchen in Klokočná with humility and enthusiasm. He draws inspiration from venison, which has a place of honor in his concept, and is guided by the motto: “The best ingredient is love.” For him, the greatest reward is not an award, but the smile of the guests who leave the restaurant satisfied.
U Sapík is not just a restaurant – it is an experience. Traditional cuisine in a modern concept, a family atmosphere and the connection of generations give this place a unique character.
